Why have a couples session?

Maybe you've realised you don't actually have any nice photos of the two of you together — just a blurry selfie from three Christmases ago. Maybe you've just got engaged and want to celebrate it with some photos together, or you’re about to propose and want someone to capture it for you. As part of my wedding packages I would suggest a couples shoot, just to feel more relaxed in front of a camera before the big day. Or perhaps you're already married and celebrating an anniversary. Whatever the reason, a couples session is really just an excuse to celebrate you two.
What does a session look like?

Honestly? It's just a walk and a chat, somewhere scenic. We'll wander to a few quieter, more secluded spots within that location and I'll take photos as we go — nothing posed or stiff. If you've got somewhere in mind that means something to you, brilliant, let's shoot there. If not, I'm always happy to suggest somewhere. I try to arrange sessions for the evening so we can get the best light — sunsets are my absolute favourite. And that's really it. No awkward poses, no being asked to do anything remotely crazy. Just the two of you, being yourselves, while I capture it. If you’ve got an idea for a photo from instagram, Pinterest or a family album send it over and we can try and re-create it! Can I buy a gift voucher for someone else?

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel like you. There's no dress code — just wear something you're comfortable in. If you've got clothes that mean something to you, even better: the dress from your proposal, your grandma's necklace, anything with a story behind it. Those little details are often what make a photo feel really personal.

One photographer providing between 1h-1h30 hours of photography coverage.
A 70+ fully edited high-resolution photos delivered via a personal digital photo gallery within 4 weeks.
4’x6’ Physical photos of your session delivered to your door after digital gallery released.
Travel within 1 hour from CB1 (Cambridge) or OL5 (Manchester).
Further travel outside these locations is subject to a small additional travel cost of 30p per mile
